Have you ever wondered what you would do if you saw a person who’s the spitting image of you? Say you were in a Starbucks lineup and the person ahead turns and whoa… you’re looking into a mirror.
I’ve heard about identical twins being separated at birth and when they find each other later in life, it turns out that they tend to have very similar tastes about many things. For instance, they might cut their hair in the same style, or wear comparable clothes. To be contrary, I wrote my characters with completely opposing personalities, dressing in opposite styles, with differing tastes in most things. The one similarity would be their love for the truth.
Every time I start a new book, I have a reason to pick either the theme or sometimes it’s the characters that resonate and start a plot forming in my head. In the case for my book called Special Agent Maximilian, Nik and Max are very special people from my past. They weren’t twins but when the idea came to me, I decided to use that twist so I could add both as heroes in the same story.
I’d never want to leave either out because I have wonderful memories with these two guys. They were young boys growing up with a single dad who used to bring them for Sunday dinner every week. This pretty much went on for over a dozen years,
They were my wonderful Sunday boys, and I loved having them walk through the door, always happy to be there and full of energy, hugs, and smiles. It made our family Sundays perfect. Especially for my own little boy who loved being spoiled and played with by these two rumbustious fellows.
When I decided to write a book about twin brothers, I knew immediately which names I would use and to whom I would dedicate the book.

Description:
In this electrifying romantic suspense set in the steamy streets of New Orleans, Lieutenant Commander Nik Baudin accidentally meets up with an identical twin he never knew existed. When his brother Max goes missing, Nik assumes his identity as Special Agent Maximilian. This gives him access to FBI files making it easier to arrest the gangsters who attacked his brother and to stop their trafficking of underage girls. Being that Nik has specialized commando training, he’s the perfect man for the job – that’s if his PTSD doesn’t kick in and leave him cowering in a corner.
Special Agent Maya Barnes can’t believe it when she spots her partner, Max Foster, wandering along the French market without a care in the world. Since he’d been beaten and had gone missing weeks earlier, they all believed him dead. There’s only one problem… though this man might look exactly like the missing agent, she knows differently. In all the years they’ve worked together, she’s never wanted to have mind-blowing sex with her partner before.
