Lisa Marie Presley – how sad!

I was so sorry to hear about the death of Lisa Marie, Elvis Presley’s daughter.

Throughout my growing-up years, he’d been my idol. I loved his voice, his songs, and many of his movies.

As a young girl, I’d fantasize about meeting him one day, and of course, out of a group, he’d notice little-ole me. As I said, they were dreams… but they made me happy.

After his untimely death, I watched his daughter, Lisa Marie, go through hardships galore, and my heart broke for her – especially upon the death of her son. Her life must have been a torturous path from obstacle to obstacle… her boy’s suicide being the hardest hill to climb.

But she fought to stay sane for her daughters and it wasn’t easy. I found a news bulletin that says it all:

Drug abuse and rehab: Lisa Marie admitted abusing cocaine, had FIVE stints in rehab (during fourth failed marriage) and became addicted to opioids after birth of her twin daughters.

How sad to think that people go through such hell when they have so much to live for.

Because of my adoration for my idol, and love for his music, I wrote three books using his songs as book titles – The Elvis Series

Don’t Be Cruel / She’s Not You / Love Me Tender
