Banana bread and binge reading 🎂 📚

Hello, friends!

If you follow my posts you know by now that I am a sucker for fun facts and worldwide holidays. Today is Homemade Bread Day, and while I haven’t made bread in years, I did make this delicious Banana bread a couple of days ago. It counts, right? 😉

Here’s the recipe if you’d like to try it. I wish I could properly describe how delicious and flavored it is, and so easy to make!

  • 4 eggs
  • 70 grams melted butter (cooled off)
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 100 grams flour
  • 5 grams baking powder
  • 100 grams crushed walnuts (almonds, or hazelnuts if you prefer)
  • ½ spoon of cinnamon (you can leave this out if you don’t like cinnamon)
  • vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

You can also add chocolate chips if you like.

Mix the eggs with the sugar and salt for a few minutes until they double up in volume, then add the baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla, butter, flour, and walnuts. Mix some more, then add the crushed bananas.

Preheat oven, butter up a non-sticky dish, pour the cake mix (it will rise quite a bit, so make sure the dish is tall enough), and bake for around 45 minutes at 160 Celsius degrees (320 Fahrenheit). Test it with a toothpick from time to time. The cake is done when you insert the toothpick in the center area and the toothpick isn’t sticky anymore.

Now decorate with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Here is what’s left of mine, two days later. It doesn’t look glamorous, but it’s still incredibly tasty and soft, because I kept it covered with plastic food foil, and to bake I used a heat resistant glass dish.

I love food, and these past months I have cooked and baked quite a lot. I’m thinking my next book heroine will be a chef. 👩‍🍳

In the meantime, if you have missed reading any of my books, I have neatly wrapped them all up in a box set so you can escape uninterrupted into hours and hours of romance and laughs.

A timeless collection of laugh-out-loud, binge-readable romantic comedies!

Live, laugh, love… And learn from your mistakes, they say. But where’s the fun in that?

Follow the journeys of five ordinary women, who struggle to find their paths in life, overcome their insecurities, and find love into the arms of extraordinary men. From heart-wrenching to absurdly humorous situations, this collection of five romantic comedies will lift your spirits and restore your faith in happy-ever-afters!

The books are stand-alones and can be read in any order.

Dear friends,
As Charlie Chaplin said, “A day without laughter is a wasted day.”
The world has had enough drama. We only have to watch the news to get depressed, because the ugliness of reality beats any thriller or horror novel. The world needs laughter and escape in cute, lighthearted books that brighten the days.
This is why I’ve written the Lovestruck series, a collection of romantic comedies featuring sassy heroines and the magnificent heroes who love them. Forget about formulas and prototypes. Each of these stories is different, but they all provide a nice, relaxing, heartwarming experience, quite a few steamy moments, and some great laughs.
The books may be read in any order. I hope you have as much fun reading them as I did writing them!

A summer vacation, an inherited house, a sexy neighbor. Should be the formula for the perfect summer… Right?
When Marissa Nelson learns that she’s inherited a house from her great aunt in the small coastal town of Florence, Oregon, she’s more exasperated than excited. As a city life lover, she’d never considered living in a small town.
Planning to sell the house, she goes there to figure out what it’s worth. What she doesn’t anticipate is that the house is half of a duplex, and the neighbor next door is a mouthwatering single dad.
If Dylan doesn’t steal her heart, his son, Nate, surely will…

Land a million-dollar deal for my book adaptation. ✓
Catch cheating boyfriend in bed with a ditzy blonde. ✓
Hop a one-way flight to Los Angeles. ✓
Determined to leave my two-timing ex and hapless love life in the dust, I set my sights on California, buy a promising fixer-upper in Malibu, and then run smack dab into Blake Tyler, the Hollywood heartthrob who’s starring in my movie. Few women can resist the hottest movie star alive—and I’m not one of them.
Just when I thought I’d left behind romance and drama, Blake’s smoldering steel-blue eyes land on me. And so do the paparazzi’s cameras…

Miss Trouble-Magnet meets Mister Troubled…
Yep, you guessed it. I’m Miss Trouble Magnet—not because I want to, I simply attract bad luck. My résumé of workplace disasters is unsettling. After almost setting an office building on fire, I flooded a pet shop, traumatized my best friend’s kid, almost killed a three-legged French pig… And the list goes on.
Then I meet Carter Evans, crime journalist and mouth-watering male specimen. He’s single, I’m single, so things should be simple, right?
As I get to know him, I discover his life is more complicated than mine. The last thing he needs is a relationship with a walking disaster, because Carter is trouble with a capital T…

Whoever thought Cinderella had it easy didn’t stick around for the alternate ending…
Everyone believed I was an idiot to leave Blade Spencer—rich, handsome, and head-over-heels in love with me. But I did it for his own good, determined to take the secret to my grave.
I moved to Seattle, pursued my career as a journalist at Unabridged magazine, and almost convinced myself I didn’t need a man. I had enough virtual admirers, and my email was jam-packed with marriage proposals and X-rated pictures—not to mention hysterically funny letters from a clever fan.
Imagine my surprise when I show up at work, and Blade is my new boss. Did I mention he has no idea why I left him and thinks I’m a cold-hearted bitch?
Just as I decide to prove him wrong, I discover Blade’s life has changed in ways I never imagined. Having to work with him is the least of our problems…

The desperate yet humorous quest of an American Bridget Jones to find a boyfriend in the seven days she has left until Christmas.
Thirty-three-year-old librarian Andrea Sachse doesn’t have the time or skills to date. No man can ever live up to her dreamy book boyfriends, so why bother?
But with her parents looking more desperate each time she shows up solo for their annual Christmas party, this year she’s determined to find herself a boyfriend by any means—fair or foul.
