Today I had a heavy duty doctor visit and thankfully the news turned out great – which kind of left me breathless on many levels, now let’s get to it.
I began counting my blessings, so please excuse me as I brag about my kids a little – My oldest daughter owns a travel agency and employs about fifty agents. She’s living her dream, but it’s damn hard work. Her oldest, my twenty-three year old grandson, works for Fox News in NYC. He’s a video editor, the guy who edits the ticker tape you see running across the bottom of your TV screen.
My middle daughter is divorced and a single mom who recently left a great job at our local hospital she’d worked for fifteen years, to become a medical assistant at a physicians’ practice so she can spend more time with my four year-old grandson. I admire her choice, even though it means a decrease in pay. Being a single mom full time is difficult, but she steps up to the challenge and I love her.
My son is a Senior Advertising Executive for a firm in NYC – he sells ads to the NFL, the MLB, et al, for those pricy programs sold at professional sporting events. His wife, my daughter in law, is a special needs teacher, and they’re planning a family of their own.

Oh, and look who’s here ~ my brother Eddie and my grand dog Barkley.
Anyway, I think about these kids when I feel blue about losing Joe, but realize I can’t live through my children. I have to live my own life and move on. That’s where The Authors’ Billboard comes in – these talented, award-winning authors are my sisterhood, and I’m privileged to have them as friends, and to work beside them as fellow writers. They inspire me to work hard, even when I don’t feel like turning on the computer, BUT once the computer’s up and running, I’m compelled to write, especially when a premise starts making me giddy (God, don’t ya love it?), or we’re planning new stories for our many anthologies ~
Speaking of anthologies, we’re about to go live with our Irresistible Valentine Collection in a few days, just in time for the most romantic day of the year – and if you haven’t gotten around to pre-ordering it yet I invite you to do so!

My new stand alone Valentine novelette A Sweet Snafu is now available, too, and there’s a reason behind this short:

Blurb:
Blurb: There’s never a dull moment with these two…
From the award-winning novel Dinosaurs & Cherry Stems comes a little snippet of what marriage and its financial challenges bring to a relationship when Jay the accountant retires and lowers the boom on his wife Cindy’s on-line shopping habits.
As the couple struggle to make ends meet, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching.
“I don’t care. I’m not going to be that wife who goes stingy on her husband’s Valentine’s Day gift,” she maintains. “But I did promise Jay to forgo using my credit card. So, what’s a woman to do on the most romantic day of the year?”
Reluctant to keep secrets from Jay, yet determined to make their Valentine’s Day memorable, Cindy devises a plan to keep the spicy romance flowing in their marriage.
She can only hope Jay will return the favor.
Read for FREE on Kindle Unlimited~ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083ZS8BPJ
A Sweet Snafu is actually a prequel to something I’m working on about my favorite character’s final journey ~ a fictionalized, nonfiction story called Don’t Bruise the Bananas. Please look for it sometime in May.
